On this project, funded by Heritage Lottery Fund, we collaborated with Dr. Natalie Braber, a linguist at Nottingham Trent University. Together we made and shared art and music that depicted the changing landscape of the North Nottinghamshire coalfields.

Dr. Braber’s research into ‘Pit Talk’, the miner’s dialect informed the work we made. Along the way we engaged children from 3 local schools. Their finished work and our music and drawings went on display at Creswell Crags Heritage Centre.

The work is now part of the Nottingham Trent University art collection.
