Recent Projects

 

March 2023 - From Sky to Sea - Millennium Galleries, Sheffield

Group show of work from Sheffield Museums’ permanent collection including works by Hockney, Turner, Titian, and Cezanne. Show included 4 paintings from my series of iceberg paintings called Melt.

 

2022 - Dark Peak Demi Paradise - Yorkshire Artspace

Solo show of 22 paintings of the upland landscape of the Derwent Valley in the Peak District National Park

 

2021 - Drawn to the Water - Creswell Crags Heritage Trust

ACE funded project in which I engaged members of Nottinghamshire’s Eastern European community. The project resulted in an art and sound installation commemorating 14,000 years since the first migrants came to the UK

 

2020 - Flood - Online

ACE funded lockdown collaboration with composer Amanda Johnson and writer Damian Le Bas to make an art, music and spoken word film about migration

 

2019 - Hind of the Morning - Wentworth Woodhouse, Rotherham

ACE funded project with Rotherham Council engaging vulnerable young people in the making of an art and music installation

 

2019 - A Landscape Changed - Nottingham Trent University

Heritage Lottery Funded project engaging children in the changing natural landscape of the North Nottinghamshire coalfields

 

2019 - My Sister’s Scarf - Online and at Ilam Park, Staffordshire     

ACE funded visual art, music and dance performance project made about migration and objects in Buxton Museum’s collection

 

2017 and 2018 - Artist in Residence - Peak District National Park

2-year residency to make art inspired by the connections between objects in Buxton Museum collection and the Peak District landscape
