Glass Harp

Anyone can play this beautiful sounding and rare instrument.

A Glass Harp is an instrument that consists of a series of tuned up-cycled drinking glasses that can be rung by rubbing their rims. Originating in 10th Century Tibet and now played by only a handful of highly skilled musicians around the world the Glass Harp makes a beautiful and ethereal sound like no other instrument.

Over the last 3 years we have made and developed a set of Glass Harps designed for anyone to play. The act of getting the glasses to ring is quite simple and can be mastered in a few minutes regardless of a participant’s musical abilities. Our Glass Harps though are arranged so that if the glasses are played in a certain order they play simple tunes. We have also designed simple colour-coded music that participants can follow.

The activity is lead by a professional musician who will help participants become instant musical geniuses – a creative activity and amazing experience.

The activity is a good way to introduce music to an event but also links to themes like water, glass and Oriental history.

Comes fully risk assessed and is insured for Public Liability. Ideal indoor activity.

Prices start at £350
